How to Delete & Uninstall Apps on iPhone

You need to apply just the right amount of pressure to the app you'd like to delete. If you press too firmly on an iPhone 6s or later, the Quick Actions menu will appear. If this happens, tap outside of the Quick Actions menu, then try again with a lighter touch.

  • Tap and hold the app icon until it starts to wiggle and an x appears at the upper left corner of the icon.
  • Tap the x, then tap Delete when your iPhone gives you the option.

  • The app you just deleted will disappear from your screen, tap Done at the upper right corner of your screen if you're finished deleting apps.
