Review: Slim, Fashionable Protective iPhone 8, 8 Plus & X Cases from Totallee

For my money, a case should offer protection first and style, second. The Scarf Case ($19–29) from Totallee manages to do both, but with the emphasis on style. The Scarf case, in assorted glossy colors or a matte leather finish, is meant to be extremely thin and barely noticeable, and it succeeds.

In fact, the $25 Jet Red model is a clever way to mimic the iPhone (product) RED edition, and Totallee even donates 10 percent to the United Nations Foundation to combat HIV/AIDS.

I appreciate that, while remarkably thin, the Scarf case still provides protection on the bottom edge with precision cutouts for openings, the camera, and volume and sleep buttons. Plus it's available in assorted colors, even leather. Newer models even protrude around the camera to protect it when the iPhone is placed on its back.

The Scarf case is not meant for rugged protection yet it still provides more protection than most slim cases.

  • Remarkably thin
  • Still provides protection on the bottom edge
  • Precision cutouts for openings, camera, buttons
  • Available in assorted colors, even leather
  • A portion of proceeds go to charities

  • Not meant for rugged protection

Final Verdict

If you want to dress your iPhone in style, without adding any noticeable bulk, the Scarf from Totallee is the total package.
