Review: FastPad Is the Most Compact Qi Wireless Charger Yet

The box that the Viotek FastPad ($34.95) ships in doesn't do it justice. While the box is the size of a box for a large iPhone 8 Plus, what's inside is remarkably small and thin. The FastPad is a Qi charger but it's smaller and thinner than any others out there. Despite its small size, the FastPad delivers fast wireless charging, making it the ideal charging pad when you need a quick charge.

The small size makes the FastPad ideal for travel. as it takes up very little space in your gadget bag. Another nice feature is that it's waterproof. I try to keep electrical items away from water; but anything can happen, so this is a nice feature. The USB connector also lights up, which is cool and a nice way to verify that power is being sent to the charging pad.

Pros

  • Remarkably thin with long, thin cable
  • Fast charging
  • Waterproof
  • Light-up USB connector
  • Includes a USB-C, microUSB, Lightning cable

Cons

  • More color choices would be nice

Final Verdict

Thanks to its compact size and fast performance, the FastPad from Viotek is an ideal wireless charger for travel or anytime.
