iOS 11 Public Beta Available Now! Should You Upgrade Early? [Poll]

It’s here! Just last week we released our article on how to sign up for the iOS 11 public beta, and now it has arrived! MacOS beta testers will have to wait a little longer; it hasn’t been released yet. But if you’re ready to test out iOS 11, you can sign up for and download the beta iOS 11 right now on your iPhone or iPad. Be warned, of course, that all bets are off when you’re beta testing, which means making a backup of your device before you upgrade is more important than ever. But if you enjoy being an early adopter, Apple has opened the gates. iOS 11 beta is available now; here’s how to get it.

Pros & Cons of Beta Testing iOS 11

I’ve laid out all of the pros and cons of upgrading to iOS 11 beta here. But to summarize, the big risks of signing up for iOS 11 beta are the bugs and issues that it’s your job to find and report to Apple. If you’re the kind of person who when getting the public operating system expects there to be no problems whatsoever with it, beta testing probably isn’t for you. On the other hand, if you enjoy getting to use the software as it’s still being developed and improved, and being one of the people who helps it improve, then you’ll love being a beta tester.

It’s also good to note that, unlike in previous years, removing the beta from your device won’t require the back up you made. Unenrolling from the beta program is now mostly painless. For me, that makes being an iOS 11 beta tester a no-brainer: I gotta do it!

Yeah, but I'm going to wait a few weeks and see how it's going for others.
I have a secondary device I'll test it out on, but my day-to-day device will wait for the official public iOS 11.
No, I'll pass. Too much of a headache
I'm still figuring out how to use iOS 10! Are you kidding me?
