How to 3D Touch Table of Content Links in iBooks to Preview that Page

Kindle by Amazon may still hold the monopoly on e-books, but Apple is trying to catch up. The iBooks app has seen consistent improvements. One great advantage it has over Kindle is the ability to purchase a book within iBooks and immediately begin reading it. Another great feature is the ability to  preview chapters from the Table of Contents with an iPhone that has 3D Touch. Here’s how to do it.

  • Open iBooks.

  • Select a book you want to read or preview the chapters of.

  • To view the Table of Contents, tap the icon in the upper, left corner.

  • From here, you can view the Table of Contents.

  • To preview a chapter, activate 3D Touch with a hard press on the chapter you want to preview. Complete the press to open the chapter.

This is super handy if you want to preview the first page of chapters or quickly skip to other chapters in a book. Unfortunately, this tip only works if you have an iPhone with 3D Touch, which is currently the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.
