How to Use Bluetooth Devices with Your iDevice

There are many ways to use Bluetooth devices with your iPhone or iPad. Nearly all accessories that need to connect to your smartphone or tablet connect via Bluetooth. Here's a simple overview of the basics for using Bluetooth accessories with your Apple devices.

First of all, there are two places to turn on Bluetooth. To turn it on in Control Center, swipe up from the bottom of your Home screen and tap the Bluetooth symbol to turn it on. To turn it off, tap it again. You can also access the Bluetooth settings from the Settings app. To do this, open Settings and tap Bluetooth.

Make sure Bluetooth is on at the top. From here, you can pair a new device. The new device, which here is Mixcder ShareMe 7, will show up on the bottom of the screen. Tap the device on your screen to pair. It’s that easy! Now you will see it in your list of My Devices. To Disconnect or Forget This Device, tap the “i” in the circle to the right of the device listing.

Once your iPhone is connected to your headphones or a speaker via Bluetooth, the sound automatically comes from the Bluetooth accessory.

If you want to change that, maybe  because you’re getting a phone call, swipe up from the bottom. Tap “Mixcder ShareMe 7” (or whatever device you have paired). That will give you the option to play the sound out of your iPhone speakers instead. Tap the “AirPlay” button to choose the headphones again.

As long as you stay within range, your Bluetooth device should stay paired until you turn Bluetooth off or turn off your device, so don't worry about reconnecting.
